The separation of the 58-year-old Australian actress and the 57-year-old musician was confirmed a month ago, with People reporting that Kidman had filed for a divorce after almost 20 years together.
Kidman recently revealed she was doing OK after the split. Wicked: For Good star Ariana Grande, 32, asked Kidman in a conversation for Interview magazine â which took place on October 19 â how she was doing.
âIâm hanging in there,â the Babygirl star said.
according to E! News has reported Kidman and Urban have lived separately âsince the beginning of (the US) summerâ.
Elsewhere in her interview with Grande â published on Monday â Kidman said she had a strong support network from her Practical Magic 2 co-stars when they shot the movie in London over the northern hemisphere summer.
âI produce and then star in a show called Lioness, which Iâm doing right now, but we shot the sequel to Practical Magic over the summer in London, which was so fun,â Kidman said.
âSandy Bullock and I, and then Joey King and Maisie [Williams] â we had an incredible cast. A lot of times I donât have fun when Iâm filming because itâs more ⌠â
Grande said: âEmotionally draining.â
âYeah. But I have such a strong relationship with all those women, so I felt protected and loved. It was just very, very safe,â Kidman said.
Also in the interview, the Big Little Lies star said her and Urbanâs daughters had âarmourâ to protect themselves from social media trolls.
âIâm raising teenage girls right now, and itâs fascinating. I think they have an armour that we didnât get, or that I certainly didnât get, because there was no social media,â Kidman said.
âThe very, very young now have already gone, âWe know exactly how to handle thisâ. They donât take a lot of things personally. They shrug it off.â
